A plane used to smooth and prepare rough timber.

The bows of a train of compartment boats built as a separate craft. Equipped with a winch and pulleys to tension the train. Often pushed in front of the tug when the compartments are empty. Used to break the propeller wash of the tug and make the train steerable when loaded.
