Download SPECTRUM
SPECTRUM is available to download and view, free of charge for non-commercial use. Use of the standard is governed by a standard licence, which you will need to agree to before downloading or viewing.
There are two forms of the licence, depending on whether you are an individual or representing an organisation. The 'Licensee' (see below) can therefore be either an individual, organisation, or a group of organisations. The Licensee should provide the registration details on this page and accept the terms of the agreement on their own behalf or on behalf of their organisation and (where appropriate) on behalf of any subsidiary affiliated or associated body.
Terms of the Licence
The Licence will allow the Licensee to access and print out the SPECTRUM standard for non-commercial purposes limited to:
- Management and documentation of the collections of the Licensee;
- Training of the Licensee's staff;
- Production of training materials for the above;
- Personal study.
The Licensee is expressly prohibited from using the SPECTRUM standard for commercial purposes and particularly from doing any of the following:
- Competing with the Collections Trust;
- Creating a compilation that includes the whole of the SPECTRUM standard;
- Reproducing or lending the SPECTRUM standard to a third party;
- Publishing or exploiting the SPECTRUM standard commercially;
- Modifying or creating derivative works from the SPECTRUM standard (except as necessary for the above non-commercial purposes.)
