Collections Trust Standards Advisory Commitee

The role of the Collections Trust Standards Advisory Committee is to:

  • Provide a forum for information sharing about standards and updating on current best practice;
  • Identify future priorities and developments in the area of standards;
  • Inform the future development of the Collections Trust's work on standards, in particular, SPECTRUM, in light of collecting policies, legislative developments, changes in technology and user requirements;
  • Enable a debate about standards and related issues;
  • Give a networking opportunities for representatives on the Committee.

The Committee is co-ordinated by the Collections Trust. It meets twice a year and includes leading representatives:

  • National and regional organisations;
  • Large and small museums;
  • Academic organisations;
  • Software provider.

Membership of the Committee is by invitation of the Collections Trust.
