Collections Trust Standards Advisory Commitee
The role of the Collections Trust Standards Advisory Committee is to:
- Provide a forum for information sharing about standards and updating on current best practice;
- Identify future priorities and developments in the area of standards;
- Inform the future development of the Collections Trust's work on standards, in particular, SPECTRUM, in light of collecting policies, legislative developments, changes in technology and user requirements;
- Enable a debate about standards and related issues;
- Give a networking opportunities for representatives on the Committee.
The Committee is co-ordinated by the Collections Trust. It meets twice a year and includes leading representatives:
- National and regional organisations;
- Large and small museums;
- Academic organisations;
- Software provider.
Membership of the Committee is by invitation of the Collections Trust.
