Last updated: 7.2008

Brief Description

MuseumPlus is a complete standard Museum and Collection Management System developed by the Swiss company zetcom. The company has over 15 years experience in database technology and over 8 years experience in designing museum management software and in conducting informatics projects worldwide.

MuseumPlus provides all features needed to support efficiently most tasks and processes of a cultural institution. It is fully configurable (down to each field) and offers a modular structure so that it is suitable for any kind and size of collection, gallery or museum. The comprehensive terminology control (thesauri, authority files, etc.) and access management allows also large museum networks to work with one central system - MuseumPlus. MuseumPlus is compliant with national and international documentation standards (by CIDOC, Getty, German Museum Association and others).

Public access via the Internet/Intranet to the data is provided by the complementary, platform independent web application eMuseumPlus. It features adaptable search and result views, automatic image processing, login and encryption functionalities and a lot more.

The eMuseumPlus web application uses open source software and can be used inexpensively on all standard computer platforms. eMuseumPlus can also be adapted to retrieve information of non-MuseumPlus databases.
