MINERVA Technical Guidelines

MINERVA (now called MinervaEC) is a three-year European programme to coordinate the digitisation activity of EU Member States.

The MINERVA Technical Guidelines are one of the main deliverables of MinervaEC. They were developed by UKOLN from the guidance provided by the New Opportunities Fund's NOF-Digitise initiative and represent an international consensus on best practice in implementing large-scale, national digitisation programmes.

The guidelines have been adopted in most Member States, including the UK, and they are likely to become a requirement of any future national digitisation activity.

The Collections Trust is committed to supporting the development of the MINERVA Technical Guidelines both as part of the completion of MinervaEC and as a long-term, sustainable source of information and guidance to culture-sector professionals.

Have Your Say

The current phase of development of the MINERVA Technical Guidelines ends on the 16th September 2008. The Collections Trust is soliciting responses from the sector to ensure that the next edition of the Guidelines is both up-to-date and reflective of best practice.

To have your say, all you need to do is download the current version of the Technical Guidelines from the link below, make any comments by track changes, and email them back to us at nick@collectionstrust.org.uk.
